Click here to Watch Seattle Seahawks v Denver Broncos Live Sunday 2nd February 22:30 - 01:30
Super Bowl XLVIII will see the NFL best offense take on the league's best defence, as the Denver Broncos face the Seattle Seahawks for the biggest prize in Football. On the two previous occasions that this has happened in recent Super Bowl history, the defensive masters have come out on top. Super Bowl XXV saw Bill Belichick devise a strategy for his massive underdogs, the New York Giants, that saw them topple the Bills supposedly unstoppable offense led by Jim Kelly. While at Super Bowl XXXII, the Oakland Raiders were undone by the Jon Gruden led Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense.
Can legendary QB Peyton Manning buck this trend, and lead his Broncos side to victory in Super Bowl XLVIII. Post season, Manning has led the Broncos offense to an average of 37.9 points per match, and 457.3 total yards, 340.2 of which came via the aerial route. Manning himself has completed 72.2 percent of his passes, averaging more than eight yards per throw. Seattle's defence on the contrary, has given up a mere 14.4 points and just 273.6 yards on average through January. Seahawks secondary is the top ranked, and has christened itself "The Legion of Boom." Peyton will have to be particularly wary on third down, where the Seahawks have allowed only six conversions from 23 attempts.

On Saturday, August 18th, the Seattle Seahawks will host the Denver Broncos in one of the last games of the day, at 9:00PM. This will be the second week of the preseason for these teams and it will be at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium. The Broncos started out the preseason with a win against the Bears in Chicago, a trouncing that ended up 31 to 3. It was a terrible game for Chicago, but it was a perfect opportunity for the Broncos to send a statement, but they are a team that is going to make it farther this year.
As for the Seattle Seahawks, they won their first preseason game, which was against the Tennessee Titans, with Matt Flynn being grabbed from the Packers and getting some field time. He was able to complete eleven of thirteen passes, and got sacked a couple of time. Then there was Russell Wilson, who completed 12 of 16 passes and had 124 yards with a touchdown, a well as an interceptions. This is probably Seattle's game, since they have two quarterbacks that are better than Denver's QB's, especially Peyton Manning.
